![]() ![]() Is this how you hold your pen? Well, I was at a recent library talk and they told us that you can't just trust any websites, but I did a 'lil search and this seems to be the 'proper' way. Coupled with the fact that I've been brought up learning this method and having the mentality that every other method is 'wrong', I'm biased to think that this method IS the proper way. So anyway that's how I hold the pen. I'm not saying there is a best way or a way which could have been backed up by scientific research that it's the most efficient or whatever. There is no best way. You hold your pen whichever way you're comfortable with. This 'proper' way I've mentioned (however true it may be) doesn't guarantee neat handwriting. My handwriting is terrible! It's just one of the things I learnt. Like your chopsticks shouldn't 'cross'. Not as if we can't use them effectively if they do. Or that you must hold your spoon on your right hand and your fork on your left hand. I've never really noticed how people hold their pens and pencils. I'll keep a look out on my friends and colleagues from now on, buahahaha. Oops. Shower time. Note: That's not my hand in the picture above. For the record, I'm right handed, and my fingernails are never that disgustingly long. http://www.drawyourworld.com/grip.html http://drawsketch.about.com/od/learntodraw/ss/howtoholdpencil.htm triggering Mr Ng HS |
