So..... anybody miss my online presence?
Few more weeks till I start work. Haven't even bought enough clothes yet. =/

Engrish Overheard
At a big patch of grasslands where a group of kids are playing catching, a small boy walked away saying he didn't wanna play.
Another guy called out to him and said,"You don't wanna play yourself wan huh, later don't complain!"

Today we'll talk about
How to make your girlfriend love you more: lesson #53
Say, for example, when you reach a car park filled with lots, I mean LOTS of cars. Kinda like when they say 120 free slots left on the signboard outside the carpark, but inside you find 200 cars driving around like meandering peasants and every 3mins you recognise the same car and driver about to blow off his or her top, and where you also find at least 30 cars parked illegally at every feasible invalid empty spot they can find. Yeah, I mean this kinda car park.
So when you enter it, you rush to find a spot, except that your vehicle is slower than your pet turtle, and that it really needs luck more than patience or anything to find one.
After 25minutes (JESUS CHRIST WAS IT THAT LONG?) whereby you kept your cool despite a million vulgarities floating along your mouth waiting to be splurted out, your time has come. A parked car is about to move off and you eagerly stopped and put on the hazard light, warning all other predators that slot is yours. As the car vacates the slot, and in fear that someone behind you will steal your slot by parking in head on, you do a super duper holy moly fast speed reverse one time zhun2 zhun4 parking manoeuvre that leaves the chain of cars behind you gasping in awe and applausing in unison (this clapping part will take stronger imagination and ego).
Your girlfriend sits beside you, deeply impressed.
And here's what you do.
You turn towards her and you say, in the most suave fashion that you can manage after having practised 3464 times in front of your toilet mirror:
帅吗？ (shuai4 ma1)?
And she nods and says 嗯。。 帅 + most beautiful smile =D
And that's that.

As mentioned in a post dated a couple days ago, there's a fireworks festival happening these few days. So on saturday Princess P and I went and grabbed a seat on the grass patch outside marina.

Princess P and I went to the exhibition in June. Here are some pics to erm, entice you guys to go. The show ends in mid august I believe. And I don't know how to get rid of the 'imageshack' thingy from the thumbnail!! Never mind lah, they let me use freely, I promote their website...

Princess P made a nice lil collage but her computer got problem cannot send me, so those will have to do for now.
And later on we saw another water exhibit in science centre, and this was the best of the lot!

After the super kick ass interview I had 2 weeks ago, I was so full of confidence, but one can never count his chickens till they're hatched, and the letter finally arrived yesterday to confirm my appointment.

The Singapore Fireworks Festival 2006, in conjunction with Singapore’s 41st National Day celebration, will be held at Marina Bay over a four-day period at 2100 hours each night.
Team Italy will debut at the festival on 5th August. Lead by choreographer Mr. Francesco Ambrico, their theme will be “Dynamic City”, showcasing a loud, dynamic and passionate display. President Nathan will grace the event on this day.
Lead by Mr. Hery Ng, Team Singapore will present on 8th August to the theme “Our City of Colors”, centered on our unique multi-racial harmony ties and the National Day Parade festive celebrations.
Another debutant, Team New Caledonia, lead by choreographer Mr. Charles Germain will take stage on 11th August. Their theme “Nature and Mystique” will showcase a tranquil display playing to the sights and sounds of Mother Nature.
Team France, back at the Singapore Fireworks Festival 2006 due to popular demand, will wrap up the festival on 12th August with “Celebration of Life”. Lead by Mr. Dominique Brezac, their act is a surprise to watch out for.
A national event in its third year running, the Singapore Fireworks Festival 2006 will be a much grander and more spectacular affair. Over 9,000 rounds of fireworks and a greater variety of effects such as slow-fall lanterns with waterfalls and heart-shapes in dazzling shades of blue, orange and lime green are expected.
Each individually choreographed musical fireworks display, lasting 12 to 15 minutes, will see bursts of water shells and parachutes shots that will travel up, down, across and onto the waters of Marina Bay, lighting up an area spanning 500 meters and filling the night sky with its breathtaking and stunning effects.
Popular viewing areas include the Padang, Esplanade Park, Marina Promenade, Marina Centre, Marina South and Kallang Basin. Members of the public are advised to use public transport and not drive.
