Recently my mailbox's been flooded with letters showing concern over Trent's recent writings. Let me assure you guys that Trent's healthy, alive and kicking and in this blog he shall briefly talk about some cheerful and light hearted stuff.

Trent is taking a break from reading his psychology textbook. Oh yah last week's first tutorial. The tutor spent about 80mins for everyone to get to know one another and why they wanna major in psychology etc. BORING! Trent also feels old because he's the only male year 3 (1 other female year 3) in class, which makes his effectively the oldest fart in the room, except for the tutor of course.

Oh right. Cheerful and light hearted stuff.

Trent just bought a new 29inch tv!!!!! (not plasma not flat lah, you think Trent prints money?)

SHARP: $499
extend 4 year w/r : $75
delivery: $30

The old 14inch tv is now in the living room.
( I still can't believe I've been watching such small figurines for so many years.)

Bank account's dropping! I feel so terrible because I'm somewhat a miser to myself, and I can't bear to part with more money to buy everyday stuff, or discounted items.

But I'm gonna start tuition next week! Primary 1 and 3 maths. Save the children!

Some time ago Princess P and I ate tarfufo at far east!

We also ate a similar thing (forgot name!) at NUS genki sushi (is it genki? forgot name!)

Remember Trent lost his cashcard? He bought a new one, and it's so pretty!

Cash cards cost $2 (think can be refunded), which means I lost an additional $2 that day. wahahaha. yes I'm still lamenting over it.

That's all I can remember now. Hehe. =D

you know, I was trying to do something nice today.

we were supposed to photocopy some sheets for tutorial mates, and I volunteered for my group. and another guy was queueing up behind me so I thought, why not photocopy for his group too. one sheet 3 cents. 8 sheets. less than 30cents. I can so afford that man.

and you guessed it. I left the stupid cash card in the stupid photocopying machine.

orbi goot right. alamak.

somemore a few days ago I topped up $10 in the card. It has about $11 now. =;(

2 x orbi goot. i'm so careless.

they should make machines such that a light is flashed every time a photocopying job is done (because a buzzer will be irritating)

or have customised cash cards so that we can get them back easily. matric card? I don't even know if they're cash cards and I certainly haven't seen anyone use them either.

haiii never mind. 堂堂一个大男人。不见了区区十块钱, 算得了什么呢??????

*forces a weak little smile* =..D

my samsung phone sucks.

it hangs i dunnoe why. sometimes i dont realise it until i tried to send or reply an sms and the 'sending message' image goes on forever and thats when i realise its hung and i gotta reset it.

it happened again today. and princess p thought that i was ignoring her.

i later smsed her to call me (she was having tuition). but she didnt. sigh. i believe its on purpose. she also sorta doesnt believe my story. this is probably due to in wake of my uncle not calling my mum from msia saying he has 1001 excuses. affair? who knows. but uncle's been that sorta person. well. i'm not. i'm one who usually replies sms quickly or calls people because i hope they reciprocate too. if i dont its cos i'm caught up.

fcuk you, samsung phone. when its 20months or whenever i can change a phone without too much of a cost, i'm gonna get a better one.

a little sickly feeling. going to bed. 8am lecture too.

ah.

thought we didnt had to ballot for tutorials anymore.

why? because nus didn't allow us to mah. someone said the record was 12hours. haha. 12 hours to ballot tutorials. wonderful system there.

but alas, they eventually decided that we undergrads should still have tutorials. or class discussions. whatever you wanna call it.

so...

tutorials start from this week.

*slaps self* wake up liao. must start to keep up the pace. cannot play game anymore. just as well since the game will be p2p (pay to play) in sept and i don't wanna spend so much time (and money) on it.

My weekend.

First of all I'm back from football. We played from 10am-12pm today. And the sun was blazing hot. Burnt again. I scored 5 goals, missed 2 sitters. Our team led 7-3, but lost 10-8. Damnit.

Princess P and I went for the universe lecture on friday. It was totally boring, and with all due respect, a waste of time. This lecturer (I'd assume from the accent and relatively weaker command of english) from PRC was telling us about how to use ivle and the course outline. For one hour. ONE HOUR! She went through eveeeeeeeeeerything, every single line, like how we should work in pairs, and not by ourselves, or in groups of more than 2. How we should write the essay in 2000 words, not significantly less than that, but also not more than that. Hell, when we started, we were told there would be a star gazing session after the lecture at the SRC field. She proceeded to click on the link to show us an NUS MAP.

"ok see we're here, in LT32. If you walk down here, blah blah, you can see the field blah blah"

ARGHGHGHGH!

I know. It's a course where freshies are able to take. So it's only alright that the lecturer spend a few minutes to explain how we can see announcements in ivle and the email.. but one hour. OMG. And later on we were left with 15minutes. So she said it's not the right time now to start the module proper. So all of us immediately shouted ohhh and yayyy and kept our neatly printed powerpoint handouts and stationery, and it was class dismissed. Princess P and I waited at the field for awhile, but apparently the folks took too long to take down the telescope, so we left. Before the lecture we had Munchie Monkey for dinner. Our first time there. Not bad lah. Affordable too. After lecture we went swensens to have $4 ice cream. There's a promotion now so it's so much cheaper. We ordered 2 and at the end of the whole thing it was less than $10. It's a rare moment walking out of Swensens having paid only $10. Hah.

And there was this family sitting beside us eating fish and chips. Wah~~~ both of us were so tempted to order one too. But we know we were simply too full to consume any more..

nevertheless a wonderful special day... =)

Saturday
In the afternoon Princess P and I went to visit the newly built central library near bugis. It was really grand. We feel so small and insignificant there. We were also there to support fellow mentors who volunteered with the make-a-wish foundation.

I have some packets of postcards still with me. If anyone wanna buy them feel free to drop me a message yah =)

Below is a picture from an exhibition in the library. I love it so much. Don't worry they didn't ban cameras, so it's not illegal. I shall display it full size so it looks nicer. (Thus pardon the lag if any.)

So cute right omg.

During the evening I went for my jc class outing. Wah already 6+ years since we all stepped into the same classroom. We went settlers cafe at boat quay. My first time there. Pretty stuffy. Air con's not really cold. Food's cheap and nice. A set meal consists of a main dish, a drink, soup, and ice cream. And 2 hours game play. (3hrs + 10% discount for members) It's nice doing some catching up and playing board games / card games at the same time. After that we left for a coffee club somewhere ( I don't know city areas.) and it was only till 1am we decided to part. There were people who drove so I got a free ride home. Haha nice to sit in a car and not having to look at rear mirrors and traffic lights =x .

I told Princess P that someday I'll get her the same costume and we'll create the same pose =x HAHAHA. =D

Back to school.

First day at school. Walked past Lt11. Noob corner. All freshmen I believe. Went for my lecture. Same old faces. Don't know many though. Sat by myself while the ang moh lecturer monotonously droned for an hour before a break, followed by part 2. Boring~~!

Too tired to play badminton. Flew aeroplane. Sorry ni gu la si~ This saturday play monopoly I give you free rent for 1 turn lor hahaha.. So I went back to sleep.

Past few days were spent at Princess P's because her parents went on a short getaway. I must admit it's quite tiring driving to and fro to her place from mine daily, but it was really fun! During these 4 days, we ate sushi, burger king, canadian pizza amongst others. On national day We went to the Yishun celebration and caught some fireworks.

It's so weird going back to school agian. After these few months, I hardly feel that I'm un undergraduate. When I reached school today I kinda felt out of place. (-_-??) Sometimes I feel really lost. Like walking alone along the corridors. Sitting alone in lectures. Sometimes I have friends sitting in front, but I don't wanna 'cos I prefer the back row. I hardly eat in school too 'cos I don't like to sit alone in the canteen. Haha. It's good anyway I don't eat much. I think, once again, I should be more involved in clubs and societies. I've even written in to a couple of nus magazines in may asking about recruitment. But then the passion dies off soon after. I remember the editor asking me what I'm interested in. I also rememeber it was close to exam period so I didn't reply and I told myself I would later but I didn't.

So that's that. It's so funny isn't it. Like how I hardly feel like writing, but once I start, say, a story, I would wanna finish it. This first step is so hard. What's my passion? What's my interest? I really don't have a straight clue....

One more year to graduation... that is if I can make it. hah. Of course I can. What do you mean of course you can; don't take things for granted. But if I say I might not graduate wouldn't that be devaluing myself. You don't have much value to begin with. Rubbish everyone has value they're just waiting to be polished. =p

I must discover myself.

Princess P is sick. =(
Let's hope she gets well NOW! =)

yay!

Princess P and I are taking the same module together for the first time! After intense battling at the cors war front. It went down at close bidding, so they quickly made an announcement saying close bidding will be extending till 5pm.

Anyway, yay! And after lecture can go out! =p

Sigh. Singaporeans.

Read in new paper recently, that power 98 DJ Joe Augustin is being looked into by officials due to a recent complaint from someone.

http://newpaper.asia1.com.sg/printfriendly/0,4139,92368,00.html

COULD Power 98 DJ Joe Augustin be next in the firing line for a radio boo-boo?

A female listener has taken offence at a comment he made on his morning show last week, which was also heard by her 8-year-old daughter.

Joe reported that a man had been arrested in the US for exposing his fully-developed breasts in public and joked that he would be careful not to go out without a shirt in case he got arrested too.

The listener wrote in a complaint, which Joe casually and irreverently mentioned on his show.

She then sent the letter to the Media Development Authority (MDA), demanding that action be taken.

Joe told The New Paper he was 'surprised and saddened' by her reaction, as he considers his remarks tame compared to those made by Perfect 10's Sheikh Haikel and Jamie Tan, and WKRZ 91.3's Pete Leung. They were all sacked for their raunchy banter on air.

Joe said: 'The feedback we get from most of our listeners has been positive. Our show is cutting-edge but we know where to draw the line and that has been my way always.'

MDA is looking into the matter and will review the radio transcripts.

As for possible repercussions, Joe said: 'Worst-case scenario? I get a holiday. But I think the MDA official who has to listen to the show will be having a good time laughing.'

~
What's wrong with that?!?!? Can't take a joke? Is it a little insensitive? Joe Augustin is not exactly a skinny man. Knowing how to poke fun at your own self's weakness (if you think being fat is so) is one of the hardest things to do. Even if let's say, he's thin and he says someone else who's meatier than the average being; it's all in the name of fun. We do it in sitcoms, dramas, variety shows, I don't see why the airwaves can't allow such stuff. It really cracks people up.

Or am I missing something here? Pls guide =)

NDP

Sigh. Sad case. Don't ever think that doing drills are easy. Or merely standing still without moving till the next command.

Worst thing is, after the soldier's properly treated with medical attention, he will probably be punished. Sigh.
