To B or not to B, that is the question.

Buy? Don't buy?

items:
enzer 21" tv $183
enzer dvd player $79

My room's tv is only 14". Should I upgrade? And I don't have a dvd player. Not even a vcd player. I only have a vcr. Hahaha. It's really cheap ley. Maybe not the player now since I wouldn't use it so often. But a big tv sounds good.

Must buy items:
rabbit cage and cat litter.

THE ISLAND

Ok so this picture doesn't really show any island, but........

it's a very good movie. If you all haven't known, it's about cloning. There's this group of people who lead utopian lives waiting for the lottery to go to 'this island', but that's actually death because they're clones, designed to replace missing parts and organs for people in the real world. Ewan and Scarlett will tell you the rest of the story. Go watch it.

Misc stuff:

1)Last week Princess P and I went to help out at the mentor's MAD camp, a camp which I experienced last year. In the end we both stayed over the night to help out the 'river crossing' activity. We took a cab back to her place at 4am. I bunked over till noon. It's nice meeting them, ie the camp crew and the usual suspects. I kinda miss them after I left. Too bad everyone else (except me lah) was dead tired and needed to sleep. So no prata outing.

2) I succeeded in getting PL1101E! That's the psychology exposure module. Finally! For less than 303 points too. Not sure how many 'cos CORS is down now. Anyone with a textbook to lend me? Miss JL???

3) I'm actively playing www.dofus.com . My first multi player online RPG game. Fun and addictive.

4) Rabbit's A-ok. I'm looking at cages and stuff .

recappo.

tuesday 19th july 2005
sigh. just wanna remind myself how stupid i was, to go play xbox with the lads on the one year anniversary of me meeting Princess P. I did plan to see her in the morning and at night, but she wanted to sleep in the morning. And I finally got to her place at night, and she was angry.

stupid me.

Well, here I am typing time flies again. One year ago on that day I saw her walking into the training room. I'm not sure if I blogged about that's training activities, but we were pasted stickers on our backs denoting celebrities, and we each have to go around asking others questions so as to find out who we were. I made sure I threw myself in her line of sight, and entertained all her questions when by right we can only ask each person one question. haha. =p

I'm so glad David Beckham and Michael Jackson met.

And she's forgiven me, and she tried to understand the situation as well. I'll definitely make it up to her on our one year anniversay of being together.. =D

Mindhunters

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

On Monday. This film is terrific. It's about these group of special agents called 'profilers' undergoing training in an island. They're good at scrutinising people from head to toe, knowing what they like and dislike, what are their strengths and possibly their weaknesses etc. Fun starts when they realise that the training gets a little realistic. Too realistic.

Ho-ho.

I think nobody watches /will watch this kinda film ley. Everyone's just talking about charlie and the chocolate factory, or the island.....

Well this movie encompasses all elements for a successful thriller: (though it's not very successful? ....) suspense, action, intelligence, and so much more. It's a bit of the Scream triology, abit of SWAT, a bit of DIE HARD, a bit of everything. Oh and a steamy shower scene. Oh no. Spoiler.

Carrying on that SPOILER mood,

there's this scene where they ponder over clues to get hints to the next victim, and there are numbers scribbled all over the window, like this:

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

And who's your daddy!!! I got it spot on.

Answer (major spoiler although nobody watches this kinda film.. :'( )
Speed of light c= 299792458 metres/second

Trust me to memorise these numbers when you're in school( I WAS an FMATH student!. You can get them by pressing buttons on your calculator, like gravity= 9.80665 or the more common PI =3.141592654 etc ..

And Princess P and I made a bet on how many survivors there would be left at the end of the show. I won. hehe. =p

update:
rabbit's consuming the medication! as in, i've made her open her mouth while she faces the ceiling so that I can drip the solution into her mouth, and her tongue will then lick them. i hope this speeds up her recovery. it's still very painful looking at her struggle sometimes. but she's eating the medicine now and this cheers me up a lot. =)

football:
i've had a wonderful game today. long time since i played this well, this taken into account that the conditions were slippery. in significant moments we trailed 0-3, 7-4, 8-5, before hitting back to 8-8 and winning the game 9-8! I scored 3. i really forced myself to run all over the place.

i saw my friend wearing this pair of addidas football shoes that i really like, since i saw them during my JB trip and subsequently in sports shops in singapore. he said he bought it for S$71. I remember seeing those at a more expensive price. but anyway $71 is too expensive. i feel like a real miser sometimes. haha. and now that someone's bought it i most definitely would not unless it's on sale.

i've tried looking for a picture and this one is the boots version. so just minus off the studs and you get the picture. nice right? guess i'll stick to my old lousy pair and save to buy a new pair of 'going out' shoes instead...

rabbit

so I took her to the vet that day, and other than the cab fares, the vet fee was $60, half for consultation, half for medication.

i thought of many things that day. in a nutshell, i've decided to keep the rabbit and hope to heal her, and make up for lost time, for all the times i haven't been treating her the way i should.

not gonna type much. i also dunnoe if rabbit is recovering. i can't feed the medicine (solution) into her mouth. i've applied the medication on her infected limbs (common illness due to pressure on the feet)

rabbit seems to be in very deep pain these days. she's always running around herself. ie like a cat chasing her tail. round and round. I myself think she's just at a lost and maybe the feet hurt or something. her appetite is still ok, but she looks really pitiful and in pain whenever i go see her, and it hurts me. but i hope she will be ok soon.

i'm going to find a cage and other stuff to keep the rabbit. that will make my mum happy.

as for me, don't worry about me. other than the times i look at my rabbit and feel a bit guilty and depressed at her state, i'm ok and still the same cheerful self. =)

Friday, July 15, 2005

I think I remember that I've quite some things to say,

but more importantly yesterday I found an infection on my rabbit's right front limb and I don't know if it's coincidental that she's shedding fur so furiously (rabbits shed occasionally) as well, so I've been thinking if I should bring her down to the Vet later.

My throat now hurts, haha, 'cos I just shouted at my mother 3 times of "算了!"(suan4 le) each time louder than the previous, as I asked her if I should bring her to the vet and all she said was those 风凉话 (feng1 liang2 hua4) because she said I should know she never approved of a pet in the first place.

I don't know if I should just buy some medicated oil like Dethol? to apply on the little (smaller than 5cent coin area) infection on her limb and see if it gets better, or bring her to the vet, hoping the vet will give reassuring and satisfactory answers regarding why my rabbit is being so passive of late. I think it's gonna be expensive, but how can I place a price tag on my own rabbit's health and recovery?

I'm so depressed right now.

On Saturday 9th july.

Sorta completed this game on saturday with Princess P at x-square. We sat there for 4 hours!! Some of you may know the game: it's about you being an actor in a fighting film, and you must perform well (fight well) in each stage or challenge to proceed to the next.

Before that, we sat in the suki sushi restaurant for about slightly more than 2 hours, as we had the sushi buffet at close to 4pm. So full. And of course that meal lasted us for the day.

Very happy. =)

3 hearts hearts.

School

Already I have 2 people asking me what I wanna take next semester, one person telling me bidding starts on the 20th, and the same person telling me that the CORS modules site is up, and I see a friend's nick as "I'm taking xxx, xxx, xxx, xxx, xxx.. anyone taking with me?"

People are so looking forward to school.

So here's a note to self:
Check on which bloody modules I wanna bloody take, and plan the bloody timetable for the upcoming bloody semester.

Ohh time for sushi~!

JB trip yesterday.

I went to JB for the first time since................ primary 1???

Princess P and I spent all the ringgit that's supposed to be expended for our genting holiday.

Quite scary.. I feel that I'm in a different place from home. Well ok I AM in a different place from home. So we got to the nearest shopping centre, johor bahru city square ( I think) and we walked the whole day there, eating nice stuff and playing the arcade there. Movies only cost $10RM each and on tuesdays, which was that day we went, movies only cost $6RM each, but there was nothing we wanted to see.

Highlights: Mango sale 50%, but nothing much to buy, despite so many clothes (do you get what I mean). And the store was relatively neat compared to the ones in Singapore last week.

OP CLEARANCE SALE!!!!! When we went in at after 3+ pm, it was really 'clearance'!! Nothing was hanging on most shelves. This is also when Princess P got mad. I mean =x practical =x . I asked her to help me check out the price of the slippers, but she came back with the sandals on her hand and saying it's only $25RM!! The look on her face.. HAHAA!! I said huh? I asked you to check out the slippers ley... She said is it? But hor.. This sandals only $25RM!!!!!!!! And she was still holding a white tshirt that I liked but I didn't like the cutting. "So you really dowan this tshirt ah.. only $15RM LEY!!!!! hahahahahahha!!!!! So anyway she bought some slippers and a pencil case for her sister.

Very fun. Her mum didn't allow us to take cab to go to further shopping malls, but this one was so big, we really took the whole day to finish touring it. We reached around 2+, and we left at 9+pm. It was great.

=)

My mummy loves me.

From something which I can't say here, but from that I (and Princess P after I told her) felt that she really loves me to do that.

Anyway after lunch while walking around, I saw a sign outside a clothing store named VEEKO which read 50% off. So I told Princess P and asked if she wanna take a look. She said the clothes were more of the mature and formal kind.

Later at home: I forgot why I mentioned it, bu the veeko thing came out again, and my mum was saying she got most of her clothes there. I said WHAT and I told Princess P to go buy just now!?!?!?!?

And my mummy laughed very hard. Really. You gotta ask Princess P too. She laughed really really hard. Crazily hard. Maniacally hard. HAHAHAHA. Ahh well it's nice to see her so happy at times. Then we went on to laugh at people's essays (she was marking them). =x

Lunch was some chinese cuisine. Forgot to take pics. We remembered only when we were paying the bill. The beside Swensens at west mall. Affordable too. We're going to eat black pepper crab now! I don't think I'm eating much though. SO FULL!

~ As mentioned earlier, the pics of the cookies Princess P and I made for her best friend. For last sunday.

I made this:

She made this:

Mine nicer hor? =p

~
Pool.

Was watching pool, and then playing yahoo pool. Look at the time now. Haha. But I decided not to go gym later anyway 'cos my body's too tired, especially after today's football session, which I scored one goal and missed another open goal. =x So I can wake up close to noon and meet Princess P for lunch, and then she's coming over to watch recorded tv shows. Anyway it's funny how I'm not tired now. I'l quickly write some stuff before heading to bed.

~
A lesson on petrol.

Pumped gas for the first time since awhile today. Shell was having 25% discount so I pumped full tank. I don't know all the different brands and quality, but I was told (long ago) to always select the centre choice (the middle priced), but when I paid for it it cost $60! So I thought to myself: that means before discount it was $80? How can a full tank be $80? My tank so big meh? And I went home and checked with my mum and she said no it usually costs a lot less than that. We checked the receipt only to find that I selected the most expensive petrol grade. Some v-power or dunnoe wad. As if it makes a difference. So I was felt very gek sim. But I told my mum at least now our car is moving on branded petrol, and we laughed it off.

Lesson learnt: Do not just choose the centre petrol grade because it no longer means it's of the medium price range. Don't be a idiot like me. Kudos to Shell for placing the most expensive brand at the centre to fool stupid customers like me, who hardly goes to the petrol station.

~
My age.

Interestingly, I was wearing my school pe shirt and the cashier said so young can drive car meh? I said I graduated from the school already. She said I looked young and asked my age. I asked her to guess. She guessed 19 wahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahaha. I said I already finished NS liao loh and see my hair brown colour. And I told her I'm 23. She said I look really young. Woohoo. In response I also said she looked young (hope I didn't sound too fake).

Later at night I went to Princess P's palace and her 16 year old cousin commented that left look right look I don't look like an undergrad, implying that I was too 呆。 Tamade. I mean. Aiyer~~~ What does she mean by that~~ *stomps feet and shakes head* She see me no up. I think I must change image liao. Wear specs and formal clothing. Ahh only one more year before I graduate. Ahh ahh ahh ahh ahh.

~
Sleep.

Sleep means I going to sleep, still need to elaborate further meh?

Saturday, July 02, 2005

Bad day at the esplanade, but a good night before we sleep.

We'll wake up later and all is fine.

It will only make me love you more. =D
