Hitch twitch.

It's a great movie. About a love doctor. Princess P and I had a wonderful time, laughing along. And for me, cursing at the female leads for being idiots. Princess P said she would have thought in the same way the female leads did. I guess that's the difference in male and female perceptions. Don't know what I'm saying? Go watch. No money? Wait for vcd lor.

Before the show started while in our seats I told her that what an idea it will be if females got proposed in the cinema, you know, hitched at "hitch". I asked her if she thought patrons will applause and tell the lady to 'say yes..say yes..' or will they shout 'wah lau eh diam lah i wanna watch movie lah'. I was also thinking would the patrons know of it or will everyone be surprised.

And I flipped today's LIFE section, and there I saw, HITCHED AT HITCH.

FOR an eternity of five seconds, bank analyst Regine Tan was speechless.

It was a case of "I do, I do" for Ms Regine Tan, when her boyfriend, Mr Alvin Chan, popped the question in the cinema on Thursday. -- Photo: Lim Wui Liang

She and her boyfriend Alvin Chan were waiting for the romantic movie Hitch to start on Thursday night when the words 'Will you marry me?' flashed across the cinema screen.

She was stunned. Then, the lights in the hall came on, her boyfriend went on his knee, popped the question and gave her a 0.58-carat diamond ring.

She was so taken aback that she did not say anything except to take the ring and slip it on.
Realising her mistake, she giggled and returned it to him so that he could put it on her finger.
The small audience at the Gold Class cinema hall of Golden Village Grand applauded, with shouts of 'congratulations' heard.

Yesterday, Ms Tan, 23, told Life! that she was 'embarrassed and just wanted to get on with it'.
The couple, who are colleagues, have been dating since they met at a company function on Dec 12, 2003. Mr Chan, 28, said that because the date was 12/12, double dates have always had significance for them. That was why he picked March 3, or 3/3, to propose to her. 'Three is her favourite number,' he added.

He said he paid Golden Village about $1,000 to arrange the proposal at its Great World City hall.
The couple have picked May 20 for their wedding. Not surprisingly, that date is 20/05/2005.

But they might want to watch Hitch, which stars Will Smith as a 'love doctor', again. Ms Tan said they were so excited, they 'talked for almost half the movie'.

Wah not bad. Some guys really plan ahead. That's good to see. And wah. GV charged $1000 for some screen words and lighting effects. And wah wah. the woman is only 23 and the guy only 28. So young.

I propose that when they watch Hitch the 2nd time, the lady stuns everyone by proposing to the guy! That's gonna be a total shocker, because nobody will ever expect that to happen, at least not again? And the couple will live happily ever after, and be one of the rarest couples to have proposed to each other! (I don't know any, do you?)

Ahh I wanna get married too~
