I dream. I can run. Like the wind. And be strong.
(nonsensical post #45)

Quick. I give your brain 5 seconds to process what words are these.

That's right. They're from the chorus of a song.
Quick. Another 5 seconds to think about what song it is.

That's right. They're from Taufik Batisah's no.1 single titled "I Dream".
Quick. Another 5 seconds to tell me who Taufik Batisah is.

That's right. The very first Singapore Idol.
Quick. Another 5 seconds to tell me if you've heard of the song on radio. (Listening to it during the finals doesn't count.)

Yes? That's good.
Quick. Another 5 seconds to tell me if you're already sick of the song.

What? You only needed a SPLIT SECOND to tell me that you are??
But Singapore Idol only ended a month ago! Where's your sense of idol mania?

This reminds me of another word. Rooneymania. Yes that's David Beckham behind him. I had to choose this picture else girls wouldn't pay attention, would they?
Calls are coming in for the word to be introduced in dictionaries, after the British teenage football star lit up Euro 2004 with his performances.

And it obviously prompted a wtf response. Click the link. I'm telling you it's hilarious! Let me quote some definitions which internet surfers chipped in (in jest of course):

~
Acronym standing for: Where's the fruit?
Kid's say this to your friends and family when you want to know where you can get your apples.
"Billy, can you bring the fruit in from the car?"
"WTF mom?"
~
meaning: Wednesday Thursday Friday
<@guest> hey david u cummin to my house
<@Foogoo> WTF

Back to the point of Taufik, in no relation to what is now a lame joke in "taupok" of course, nor that Badminton PR. Hey this Taufik is true blue Singaporean, baby! I only got hold of the latest news, regarding how he couldn't turn up at a radio function, and how it is rumoured that the radios are boycotting him and not playing his songs and interviews on air.

Which leads inevitably to "the answer to every question in the world".

ie.

Who cares?

Nooooo. Some people care alright.

Read this news article. And I quote:

However, some fans are still disgruntled over Taufik's decreasing presence on some radio stations.

Said student Chen Shuyu, 17, who listens to Perfect 10 98.7FM and Class 95FM for about three hours a day: 'I've noticed that they are now playing him a lot less. They used to play I Dream almost every hour two weeks ago, but now I don't hear it as often.'

Huh?!?!? Playing the song almost every hour? I'd have boycotted the radio stations instead.
Recently I haven't been fervently tuning in to the radio stations as before, but if this is the case I'm glad.
The classic example I can give you is "The Song will go on" My heart will go on" by Celin Dion. Ahh yes. You shiver when I mentioned it, didn't you?

Lost?

Hey don't blame me for exposing you to internet lingo (only basics at that too).
Blame the society.

Yes. I say. Blame the society! For everything!
For making a University Degree seem as worthy as a roll of toilet paper!

'scuse me while I go work hard for that toilet paper.

What a sexy roll of toilet paper this is.
A University degree is like toilet paper,
everyone needs a piece of it.
