I am your father.
(think I've used this before, but it's ok I'll say it again heh)
Two weeks back, I received a letter from him. It was a Christmas card. Well you know how snails mail have to swim across the seas.

I didn't know what to do. No way was I sending a letter back. I thought of emailing him, but hesitated, and gradually forgot about it, until today...
Got an email with no visible addressee so I couldn't click on it, and the subject was 're: see you soon' so at first glance I thought it was another of those spam mail. But as I slowly read other emails i reached it, and it surprised me that it was from him again. He replied my reply about his email on 中秋节 (mid autumn festival), which means my last mail to him was in end of september.
Dear son,
did not hear any reply from you, you must be very busy i think.
how is everything now ? talk to me if you have doubt in your life.
for me , it was not easy to live in a new place which is completely new, at first, my place do not have the facilitily to connect to the internet nor call to contact the outside world, and trunk call is really unaffordable for me, because i took nothing but left everything totally to your mum, i have only less than 3 hundred in my pocket , just like a stray dog !
life is really difficult and miserable in the begining, weather, food, life style, i remembered last summer we met yunna typhoon(10 deg.) , you just can't imagine how powerful the nature force is, it was a big disaster for zhejiang province in history. and now we are in the winter season, heavy snowing last week, cold is the only word for me.
i shifted to a new hostel with full facilities two months ago, although problems still arise here and there some time (like blackout), but i can go to net easily this time. with the facility, we will talk to you more often.
you know i am chinese educated, i know i have bring you down, and i hope you forgive me with this poor english expression.
i'll be back to sin. on 31 jan. see you soon.

I must say his english really isn't that bad as I thought. I suppose he meant this Typhoon, in August 2004.
Suddenly offhand, I can't remember when he left. I think it was Jan 2004?
Wow it's been a year already.
I don't know what to reply again. And I think I'll wait for a couple of days before I do so anyway.
He's a stray dog, and he brings me down.
