now THIS IS DUMB.
Be the first person in your town to own a fart in a jar. The possibilities are endless with this collector's item--it can be used as a conversation starter, a decorative piece, a weapon, a storage container, or just about anything else you can think of. If you win this auction I will eat all the stinky methane producing foods I can think of; eggs, split pea soup, a cheap bean burrito, saurkraut, and any other suggestions you might come up with. I will then hold all gas in for a period of no less than 3 hours, drop major ass in the jar, and ship immediately. I have no idea if the stink will hold, but I do have a canning jar that has a tight seal and I assume it will work. Auction winner pays $7.95 shipping and handling which includes secure packaging. Note my 100% positive feedback, and bid with confidence. Serious bids only please. ~ And someone actually bidded for it here. WHAT?!??!?!!??!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??! triggering Mr Ng HS |

Five Golden Rules for Finding Your Life Partner
Five Golden Rules for Finding Your Life Partner by Rabbi Dov Heller,M.A, a relationship coach lays out his 5 golden rules for reviewing the prospects of long-term marital success. When it comes to making the decision about choosing a life partner, no one wants to make a mistake. Yet, with a divorce rate of close to 50 percent (in USA), it appears that many are making serious mistakes in their approach to finding Mr./Ms. Right! If you ask most couples who are engaged why they're getting married, they'll say: "We're in love." I believe this is the #1 mistake people make when they date. Choosing a life partner should never be based on love. Though this may sound not politically correct, there's a profound truth here. Love is not the basis for getting married. Rather, love is the result of a good marriage. When the other ingredients are right, then the love will come. Let me say it again: You CANNOT build a lifetime relationship on love alone. You need a lot more. Here are 5 questions you must ask yourself if you're serious about finding & keeping a life partner. QUESTION #1:> > Do we share a common life purpose? Why is this so important? Let me put it this way: If you're married for 20 or 30 years, that's a long time to live with someone. What do you plan to do with each other all that time? Travel, eat & jog together? You need to share something deeper & more meaningful. You need a common life purpose. Two things can happen in a marriage. You can grow together, or you can grow apart. 50 percent of the people out there are growing apart. To make a marriage work, you need to know what you want out of life - bottom line - & marry someone who wants the same thing. QUESTION #2: Do I feel safe expressing my feelings & thoughts with this person? This question goes to the core of the quality of your relationship. Feeling safe means you can communicate openly with this person. The basis of having good communication is trust- i.e. trust that I won't get "punished" or hurt for expressing my honest thoughts & feelings. A colleague of mine defines an abusive person as someone with whom you feel afraid to express your thoughts & feelings. Be honest with yourself on this one. Make sure you feel emotionally safe with the person you plan to marry. QUESTION #3: Is he/she a mensch? A mensch is someone who is a refined & sensitive person. How can you test? Here are some suggestions. Do they work on personal growth on a regular basis? Are they serious about improving themselves? A teacher of mine defines a good person as "someone who is always striving to be good & do the right thing." So ask about your significant other: What do they do with their time? Is this person materialistic? Usually a materialistic person is not someone whose top priority is character refinement. There are essentially two types of people in the world: People who are dedicated to personal growth & people who are dedicated to seeking comfort. Someone whose goal in life is to be comfortable will put personal comfort ahead of doing the right thing. You need to know that before walking down the aisle. QUESTION #4: How does he/she treat other people? The one most important thing that makes any relationship work is the ability to give. By giving, we mean the ability to give another person pleasure. Ask: Is this someone who enjoys giving pleasure to others or are they wrapped up in themselves & self-absorbed? To measure this, think about the following: How do they treat people whom they do not have to be nice to, such as waiters, bus boys, taxi drivers, etc. How do they treat parents & siblings? Do they have gratitude & appreciation? If they don't have gratitude for the people who have given them everything, you cannot expect that they'll have gratitude for you-who can't do nearly as much for them! Do they gossip & speak badly about others? Someone who gossips cannot be someone who loves others. You can be sure that someone who treats others poorly, will eventually treat you poorly as well. QUESTION #5: Is there anything I'm hoping to change about this person after we're married? Too many people make the mistake of marrying someone with the intention of trying to "improve" them after they're married. As a colleague of mine puts it, "You can probably expect someome to change after marriage .. for the worse!" If you cannot fully accept this person the way they are now, then you are not ready to marry them. In Conclusion, dating doesn't have to be difficult & treacherous. The key is to try leading a little more with your head & less with your heart. It pays to be as objective as possible when you are dating, to be sure to ask questions that will help you get to the key issues. Falling in love is a great feeling, but when you wake up with a ring on your finger, you don't want to find yourself in trouble because you didn't do your homework. So.... what do you think? triggering Mr Ng HS | Thursday, October 28, 2004

blah blah butterfly.. blah blah bee..
Hmm not doing Muhammad Ali much justice here. Anyway my point here is I'm busy, like a bee. Butterfly, theme of my blog. See the link? I'm training you to use more than 10% of your brain. Friday: Princess P and Andy Lau. Yup some stupid thief movie, where the husband is called Mr Thief and the wife (Sammi Cheng) is called Mrs Thief. That should tell you the tone of the show. Before that I had dinner at Princess Palace and her mum cooked fish rice in soup for us. It was delicious. I love the place. Saturday: I went Sentosa!!! Island life~ love it~ sentosa days are wild and the nights are magic~~ *prepares to receive commission from STB* Was there to recce for my december camp. I'm part of the camp crew. It's been a long time since I was that island. I wish I have time to explore it fully someday. It's a nice place. Sunday: Football and I scored 4 goals. I really feel so confident on the pitch. Football and Man Utd gunned down the arses 2-0. The run stops at 49. Yeah finally. Monday: A sucky day because I had to rush my camp proposal since my other group members couldn't do it. I guess that's what you call working in a team. I'm sure they will appreciate it. I had such a torrid time coming up with some arrangements, and ultimately I fell asleep this morning at 4+, only to wake up at 7 from a call by my mentee. Tuesday: Flipped around in bed from 7-9am and finally got up and finalised and sent in the proposal. Left to play basketball and then arcade with 2 of my mentees one after another. Amazing how he just spent most of the time playing Daytona. I never did play it in the past, so I suck at it, and ended up watching him play instead. Evening was spent at Clementi for the camp meeting, which lasted from 7 to 1115pm. It wasn't finished, but we had to end 'cos it was late. I spoke quite a lot. Sometimes I'm afraid that I might irritate people by talking to much, or when the evening's late and if I talk it might cause people to think "wah lau eh I wanna go home liao can you stop asking questions or giving comments etc", but I also tell myself what I have to say is worthwhile, and at least I don't make stupid jokes. Trust me I'll if I know everyone better. All that said I really enjoy what I'm doing and in a way I'm a little sad that we all can only meet up on 30th november. This break is to facilitate our studying in the exam period. So I'm home now and I'm gonna take a shower and check out what readings I'm supposed to do for tomorrow's lecture. I'm pretty much lagging. Stay safe everyone. =) triggering Mr Ng HS | Thursday, October 21, 2004
8578634525th reason why I'm smart.
Alright listen up piglets. I'm about to gloat. Haha. Eh come on lah.. very rare mah... very nan de I got chance to yaya papaya about something ley.. Oh my gosh I feel as if a part of me got burnt just by typing those few words; I've let down my British ancestors. Who would have thought the language they tried to inculcate into us, would revolve into such NoNseNse? Haha once again I'd like to highlight my stand that I'm ok with singlish and it's just that I wanna practise writing well so I don't do it on my blog. Oh And I realised TypInG LikE tHiS Is kNoWN aS StIcKy CaPS. One of the most retarded phenomenons to hit town. My own personal research shows that girls are the main sources of idiots (if you find any guy who types like this please post a link here thank you) and they are born 1984 or younger. Anyone else who does that should go for a sanity checkup. Actually they all should. The most astonishing thing is that while people can type like this on the computer, they can even do it on their handphones! I mean how much bloody time do you spend sms-ing a sentence like that? And I haven't even mentioned using different symbols to represent different letters. (eg the plus sign as t) It's not even aesthetically appealing, it's not even pretty, and they make doctors' prescriptions seem easy to read, damnit. Ahhhh but I digress. Just like all smart people do. =p During translation class today we dealt with translating a little of the transcript of a Harry Potter movie (part 1). In it there was a line by Professor Snape, teaching the class how to make potions. "I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, even stopper death - if you aren't as big a bunch of dunderheads as I usually have to teach." Can you guys take 30seconds to think about what the words in bold mean?
Ok time's up. What did you think of the term 'stopper death'? Everyone was interpreting it as stopping death, like the potion that will enable you to live forever. Even the resident "ang moh' guy called upon by the professor thought so. And most translated it as zu3 zhi3 si3 wang2 (prevent death). If you think so too, here's what I have to say: Idiots!!!! Don't you understand the metaphorical meaning of the words in bold? Linking bottle, brew, and stopper. Bottle as in the container, brew as in the action carried out, and stopper being the item used to cap the bottle, which means death is the potion, and stopper death means keeping the potion of death, and not keeping the potion which will prevent death. The students in the lecture gave out an "ohhhh". Ohhhh what imbecility!!!! What preposterous foolishness! And the professor before telling us what was wrong had asked if there were any poets or lyricists around because they will better understand the phrase stopper death. I don't think you need to be one of those people to figure that out. Anyway I feel that I'm so smart is because I had told my friends about this concept of mine, that stopper might not mean stop, and if you look at it figuratively, it might actually be the opposite of preventing death. And they looked at me with those condescending looks saying 'okayyyyyy..'
Ok I admit when I thought of that I wasn't confident about it but when the professor starting pointing out this part I started to smirk and I bet my face had that Itoldyouso look. So if you didn't think of it, it's ok you're mediocre, just like everyone else.
Oh yeah. I'm so smart. =D triggering Mr Ng HS | Wednesday, October 20, 2004
Free Lunch
Princess P treated me lunch today. =p Because she actually felt guilty for making me wait for a mere 30minutes. She apologised and said lunch was on her. She must be thinking I don't eat much anyway, so the damage level wouldn't be high on her wallet. Haha! It's ok I don't mind waiting. Seeing her makes it all seem worthwhile. "What are you, nuts?" Haha certainly doesn't sound like me right? Someone who's particularly time conscious and can't tolerate anything less than punctuality. =D =D =D triggering Mr Ng HS |

Wimbledon.
On tuesday I watched Wimbledon. You know, the left right left right tennis movie?
Ok stop giving me that "Why on earth will I watch something like that???" look. I also had a terrible headache, but that has nothing to do with the movie. Or perhaps it does? Hmmmmmmmmmm.......... Can a movie be that bad? I mean yes I know it's those typical sports movie, with a little romance in between and stuff, but can it be that bad? Basically it's about this man and this woman whom are both tennis players and how they meet at this tournament and fall in love, and surprise surprise the love affects their tennis form. The star of the show was obviously the man (Paul Bettany), but while you don't expect him to be kicked out of the first round of the tournament, the plot is just so stagnant and unappealing. The romance bit isn't romantic at all too. Amusing cameo by John McEnroe as the commentator, and tiny bits of humour, but otherwise a boring show. And the tennis playing isn't even realistic, really worse than what you expect. Players serve aces like it's so simple, and when a player smashes right in front of the net, the opponent can retrieve it while also right in front of the net! This is tennis, not volleyball! And there's this grey little bunny in the movie. The bunny has a poor life. It gets stones thrown at it in one scene, and in the next it takes part in a BBQ. But it's not the one eating. =`( Bad people. Bad~ people. Kirsten Dunst seems to have aged. And she's only how old? 22? There's nothing worth praising about the show! This movie blows. Princess P has the same afterthoughts. She said we should have watched the 'Art of the Devil' instead. But the timing wasn't right. I guess you have to watch sucky movies to truly appreciate the quality of good ones. Yup it was THAT bad. Although it was compensated by a lovely evening with the lovely girl again. Yeah. =) triggering Mr Ng HS | Sunday, October 10, 2004
Sunday.
So here I'm typing in front of the computer, listening to the the melancholic songs I have. Sunday's fun, because I got to play soccer, and I scored 3 goals this morning. Sunday's not very fun, because after soccer my right knee's slightly hurt. There's this sharp pain if I straighten my right leg and tighten my upper thigh muscles. I guess it will pass. Sunday's kinda sad, because Princess P said something about not wanting to meet up 'often'; something about getting sick of each other and somewhere along the line of 'personal space', of which I don't really understand, yet. Sunday's also the day I got hold of the news that my friend photocopied notes for herself and not for me because I wasn't in school that day to have been able to collect it from her and she didn't want to carry them back home and to school again for me. I used the word disappointed. I think it's appropriate. Or perhaps I've asked too much for a friend. Sunday sucks, now that I see it. So in the famous words of Singaporean youths, I shall now go and die.
Shit. It's just too troublesome. My table's a mess, I guess it'll have to wait. triggering Mr Ng HS | Saturday, October 09, 2004
Beautiful.
I had such a wonderful evening with her. No doubt the car ride was a little awkward; just two of us keeping silent and listening to music, and when I finally opened my mouth and said something I then turned and found out that she had already fallen asleep. She's so cute when she's sleeping. =) She's also so gonna kill me if she finds this out. =p We only started talking as we reached the shopping mall carpark. And then she apologised for the night before. And that's when things got better. 'Exorcist: the beginning' was a poor show for my taste because 1) I find it hard to concentrate on the story line. 2) The main lead is not handsome enough. 3) The little black boy reminds me of Ju-On. 4) It began talking about God and Lord and Jesus Christ and all sorts of religious jargon in the later part of the show. But I heard the Exorcist (the first made sequel to this prequel - ahhaha confusing isn't it??) was one of the scariest movies of all times, and I haven't caught it. Perhaps then. It was close to midnight when the show ended and after that she brought me to some park at some hill top. Dark. Kinda scary. Even scarier than Exorcist! (That's how I rate the movie.) If I were to write a review the heading will be "Less scary than a neighbourhood park!" We spent three hours there. If you ask 'how do you spend three friggin hours at a park?' Well it's pretty simple actually. First we walked one round and estimated how many trees there were. Then we walked a second round counting the number of trees there wered. And another round to confirm the variation was minimal. And then we compared our answers. And we saw who's more accurate with our prediction. When this was done we went to the fitness corner and did some exercises, and we relaxed at the pavilion eating the ice cream bought from the outdoor vendor stationed there. We sat down on the grass patch listening to angels sing and that was when snow fell and we had such a fun time building snowmen and throwing snow balls at each other. It rained a little and there were multiple rainbows; that's like rainbows, snow, rain, sun appearing together simoutaneously! Ahh and there were so many other things we did. Too much to mention. And I finally got home at 350am. In summary, the title adjective represents - the evening - Princess P - the movie NOT NOT NOT. Signing off, the once again smitten-by-love Trent. triggering Mr Ng HS | Friday, October 08, 2004

Jackie Chan after Blackie Chan.
After the black police flick last night, it's only proper to follow it up with the REAL POLICE STORY. (In case you think my title has some racist element involved, the latter name was used by the Wayans brothers themselves.) Movie's great, and like what I heard, it's not your typical Jackie Chan movie filled with humour within the action. This one has a concentrated plot with quite a few emotional scenes, and Yang Cai Ni looks more beautiful than before. One dumb part; I don't understand why Jackie went to try and save the bus when attempting to catch the crook halfway. Otherwise, a good show. Watch out for a cameo by punk rocker Wu Bai. O_o Princess P had a nice presentation regarding her food project. She feels so proud about it. BUT IN ACTUAL FACT..... ahhh haha I think it's not right to talk bad things about her. Actually it's not a bad thing. Hmm those who wanna know email me! Haha she's so gonna kill me if she reads this someday~. After the show we went to the Xiao Guilin park at bukit gombak. I've been there once and it was her first. We both agreed it was frightening to be there at night, and we both did our part in donating to the Mosquito foundation, so we didn't stay long. And we went home early because she had a long day and yet another long day on Sunday. We're pretty busy these few days. I'm glad we could take time out to catch up. ~ Watching football now. Shall only finish up my Family essay tomorrow afternoon. Remember what I wanted to write on? CLICK this. The Professor had this to say though. The idea of focusing on pets would be fine for a paper on another module. Although pets are important in people's lives, for this paper you must concentrate on the relations among the human members of a family. Hello~?~?~? Is there a module on pets? Pets would be fine for a paper on ANOTHER module? Don't condescend me you @#@@@#!! I must concentrate on relations among HUMAN members? Who was the one who earlier said that "For this module I want you to research on something you want to research on, and not something we ask you to research on, because that would defeat the purpose of researching." Ok so fine those weren't the exact words but the boring tone was spot on. And now you show me a sign saying pets are not allowed?? You haven't felt the omnipotence of my dear rabbit that's for sure. Humpf. I'm writing on stress and conflict. Boring~!! triggering Mr Ng HS |
The Palace.
I watched White Chicks last night, about 2 black FBI agents having to impersonate 2 white female models (They're sorta like the Hilton sisters, but much more un-appealing. Really they look like men themselves, no kidding.)It's a funny show. Some jokes were super lame, some traditional 'toilet' jokes (and I mean it literally). The cast is pretty good looking. The Wayans brothers have slick looks, the female journalist is HOT HOT HOT, the two rival sisters are eye candy material, but, BUT the award goes to the black man with the muscular body. Playing a basketball star. Latrell Carter or something. Oh yeah~! I like~~ Ok before you go wtf, really, you have to see the show to know what I'm talking about man. This guy's got the whole package man. He's like.. the other star of the show man. I love him to death man. *finger snapping sound* Alright alright back in reality, I went to Princess P's house early this morning (hence the title) because she had this cooking project in school later and I thought I could help a little. But I ended up sitting in the kitchen eating what her mum cooked up for breakfast, and her mum kept giving me stuff to eat, despite that I was really full (and not pretending to be full as an act of politeness.). So I sat at the table with the other siblings eating together. The little sister even made a cup of milo for me. Wow. And all of us were sitting so close to one another. It was a little moment of bashfulness. Tsk just a little lah! Why nobody believes I can be shy also?!?!! *ahem* Anyway... it was the first time I've been inside her house and I really love it. Her family is a close knitted one. They all wake up early, and everyone sits at the dining table to eat breakfast together. They're a friendly lot. I've never felt so loved by people I really interact for the first time. No wonder she tells me all her friends like going over to her place too. Just an hour in her house and I'm filled with so many emotions, and pardon me if I use chinese to express the correct feeling, and that is the one I always use, 很温馨的感觉, which translated means the very wen xin-ish feeling. Haha! Yeah now you see the power of my translation right? =p And later I sent her to school and helped her carry her stuff to the meeting place. She had earlier gave me a really lovely smile thanking me for my efforts for this morning before we got off the car. The smile was just like this:
Oops wrong one, ah haha too bad you guys don't get to see it =p =p I'm the luckiest man in the world, and you guys are just sitting in front of your computer reading blogs. Ah hahahahaha! And here I'm back home slacking, not for long though, 'cos I'll be seeing her later. =) It's really nice. Everything. Perhaps my dream is coming true. triggering Mr Ng HS |
